What is a mini session
One afternoon, one location, ten twenty-minute slots. I set up in the best light of the day and photograph families back to back until the sun goes down.
You pick a time, show up, and we make photographs. No coordinating a date around my calendar, no scouting locations, no three-hour production. Twenty minutes sounds short — it's enough, because none of it goes to setup. The light is already right and the location is already scouted.
A mini isn't a smaller full session. It's a seasonal event: one weekend, one place, ten slots, and then it's gone until next time.
The Details
Where — Lake Wilderness Arboretum, Maple Valley WA. We'll meet at the Arboretum gazebo. Fifteen minutes from Kent, with free parking close by and restrooms on site.
When — Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27. Sessions run from 4:20 PM to 6:40 PM, timed so every single slot lands in golden hour. There is no bad time slot.
How long — 20 minutes.
What you get — 5 fully edited photographs, delivered in a private online gallery within two weeks. Yours to print, share, and send as holiday cards.
What it costs — $299.99 plus Washington sales tax, calculated at checkout. Paid in full when you book, which is what holds your slot.
How many — 10 slots across both days. When they're gone, they're gone.
What happens to your photos — I may use images from your session in my portfolio and marketing. That's covered in the agreement you'll sign at booking. If you'd rather I didn't, just say so when you book and I'll honor it.

Golden hour beauty
Sessions run from 4:20 to 6:40, timed so every booking lands in the last good light of the day — warm, low sun against fall color. Whichever time you pick, there is no bad slot.
Kids welcome, chaos too
No forced poses. No "say cheese." I photograph the quirks, the attitude, and whatever your two-year-old decides to do instead. If they won't sit still, that isn't a problem to fix — that's a photograph.
Five Edited images
You'll choose your five favorites from the full gallery, edited and delivered within two weeks. Yours to print, share, and send as holiday cards.

FAQ
Can we bring the dog?
Yes, if they're leashed and reasonably calm around strangers. Lake Wilderness allows leashed dogs.
Can I get more than 5 images?
Yes. Additional edited images from your session are available after you see the gallery. No pressure and no package upsell during the session — you'll see what we got first.
Is this good for holiday cards?
That's most of why people book it. Delivered by mid-October, which leaves plenty of runway for cards.
What if I need to cancel?
Slots are prepaid and non-refundable unless I cancel for weather. If something comes up, message me — if I can fill your slot, I'll refund you.
What if it rains?
This is western Washington in the fall, so let's be honest about it up front.
Sessions run rain or shine. Light drizzle is fine — often beautiful, actually. If it's sustained heavy rain or a thunderstorm, I'll make the call by 2 PM on the day and let everyone know right away.
If we're rained out, the event moves to the next available weekend. I'll contact every booked client with the confirmed new date within 3 days.
If that new date doesn't work for you, you get a full refund. No arguing about it, no partial credit. You shouldn't lose money because of the weather.
